Changing brokerage software

You already use a management tool and wonder what switching would involve. This page answers directly, including what you would lose.

What happens to my history?

Request a complete export of your clients, policies, documents and previous statements. Check the formats and keep a copy before importing anything. Tacita supports data imports, but the outcome also depends on what your current tool can export.

How long does a migration take?

It depends on the volume, available formats and matching work required. Assisted migration is available, or you can import the data yourself. Ask for an estimate based on a sample of your own records, not an unexamined promise.

Will my team need to relearn everything?

Yes, daily routines will change. Let your team try the tasks they perform most often, such as finding a policy or checking a statement. Allow time to build new habits before leaving your current tool.

What if I want to go back?

Keep your original export and review the exit terms of your current contract. With Tacita you can export all your data at any time, including identifiers learned from statements. Export is not conditional on your subscription status.

What do I lose by switching?

A tool used for years contains habits, settings and shortcuts your team knows by heart. You will lose those, and it will take a few weeks to find new ones. If your current tool works for you, do not switch.
