How do you check a commission statement in Switzerland?
In detail
Keep the original statement, the dated commission agreement and the premium history. Identify the insurer and the payment period. A line may carry an internal reference rather than a policy number.
Find the policy and applicable premium for each line. Apply the agreed rate and the proportion for the period actually covered. Compare the result with the payment line by line.
Record each discrepancy and its cause. An old rate, an ignored premium increase and an overpayment require different action. Check advances and offsets before raising a claim.
What the law says
Checking relies on the commission agreement, premiums and insurer statements; no single statute replaces that comparison.
In practice
In the fictional Allianz Suisse statement for August 2026, received identifier 43512184 maps to policy 43.512.184: CHF 477.74 paid against CHF 668.84 expected, a CHF 191.10 difference.
How Tacita helps
Tacita remembers a confirmed match between a received identifier and a policy. It recalculates the expected commission under the agreement and shows explained differences.

Five references, five formats. None matches a policy number in your portfolio. This is what a Swiss insurer can send, and why hardly anyone checks every line.Fictional example: only supplied amounts and matches are shown. Tacita recognises your policies
